Data engineer, web developer. Full stack programming enthusiast, from browser app to bare metal.

RealMatch API

: address matching algorithm and geocoding using normalisation, phrasing and fuzzy matching, reading data from an embedded database. The API and telemetry easily handled 3000 req/s and auto scales horizontally.

property.com.au

: a property research website relaunched in 2022 with around 15 million searchable Australian addresses, including sales and rental histories. My team built its web frontend and backend APIs from scratch using TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL/PostGIS and AWS (ECS, CloudFront).

Aerial imagery pipeline for property.com.au

: concurrent, queue-driven image processing with production workers configured to auto-scale from zero to many ECS tasks. I built the image processing, scheduling, data integration and delivery infrastructure, with LocalStack emulating AWS services for cloud-free local development. Built with TypeScript, Node.js, Sharp, Docker and AWS (ECS Fargate, SQS, S3, DynamoDB, CloudFront).

Member accounts and authentication for property.com.au

: supporting over 43,000 monthly active members (May 2026). I built sign-in and token handling, profile management, recent searches, followed properties and account deletion. Built with TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, Auth0 (OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect), Aurora PostgreSQL and AWS ECS Fargate.

Scalable Data Storage at AARNet

: secure storage, sharing and access auditing for sensitive research data, complementing CloudStor. As the primary developer, I designed and built the backend from scratch, with JWT-authenticated REST APIs and ownCloud integration. Built with TypeScript, NestJS, MariaDB, Kubernetes and AWS (RDS, Cognito), with over 90% automated test coverage using Jest.

B2B commerce platform at TreviPay

: invoicing, accounts receivable and recourse for B2B trade-credit customers. I built the invoicing and AR API — buyers, sellers, invoices, FX rates and pre-authorisations — in NestJS and PostgreSQL, its Vue UI, and the Recourse Center API and UI; transactions synced into the Go-based Transaction Acquiring Platform. Built with TypeScript, NestJS, Vue, PostgreSQL, Docker and GitLab CI.

dabus multi-tenant integration platform at Balance Internet

: a highly scalable e-commerce integration solution synchronising millions of product, order and customer records between multiple shopfronts and backend platforms — Magento, Apparel21, Pronto and BorderFree. I built the integration across a variety of interfaces — synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CSV and FTP feeds — using message-driven batching and parallelisation to keep it highly scalable, with conflict and retry handling as well as rate limiting to cope with downstream system limitations. Built with PHP (Symfony), Node.js, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes and AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito).

iPact — Figer-to-Curb (FTTC) deployment automation at NBN

: automated FTTC rollout by integrating multiple systems — including the platforms managing NBN infrastructure hardware, such as street-pit distribution point units and connection devices — so field engineers could activate and manage FTTC devices end to end. I code system that integrates with internal systems over REST, SOAP, and communication system that sends SMS. and Oracle.

Employee onboarding, training and compliance platform at Vortala

: the backend of a system that helps companies onboard new employees with training and compliance materials. As the sole backend developer, I scoped the technical requirements, designed the MySQL schema from scratch, built the Laravel REST API with PHPUnit automated tests, and migrated data from the previous version of the platform. I also set up AWS infrastructure — EC2, RDS and S3 — and automated deployment. Built with PHP (Laravel), MySQL and AWS (EC2, RDS, S3).

Magento B2B retail platform at Sysbox

: an e-commerce and ERP system for a computer retailer with over 10,000 active products, managing stock, sales, purchasing and warranty across multiple storefronts — including Magento and eBay. I built the PRADO PHP API server and Prototype JS frontend with deep Magento 1 integration, automated supplier data feeds and batch price updates, and dynamic competitor price matching using configurable rules. Built with PHP (PRADO), Prototype JS, Magento 1, MySQL and Apache on on-premise bare metal machine running CentOS.

MIPS CPU on Cyclone FPGA project (source) as part of Monash University ECE4074

: designed and implemented a 32-bit MIPS processor in Verilog and synthesised it onto an Altera Cyclone FPGA — a five-stage pipeline with hazard detection and data forwarding — and benchmarked it with large matrix multiplication workloads. Built with Verilog and Quartus, verified with Verilog test benches in Icarus Verilog.

Autonomous hockey robot (demo) as part of Monash University ECE3091

: a fully autonomous field-hockey robot for the Monash capstone design tournament. It recognised the ball by its assigned colour, located the goal and shot — all on board the robot using its own sensors and microcontroller, with no remote control or external computing. I programmed its control logic on Arduino, from colour tracking and navigation through to the shooting mechanism. Built with Arduino (embedded C), on-board colour vision, motors and sensors.
